Former SISPA Member Molly Williams (Harrisburg High School ’09) has sealed her second book deal. Williams, a gardening expert and lifestyle journalist, sold “Taming the Potted Beast: The Strange and Sensational History Of the Not-So-Humble Houseplant” to Allison Adler at Andrews McMeel, at auction, for publication in spring 2022, through Laura Mazer at Wendy Sherman Associates.

“Taming the Potted Beast” is a humorous jaunt through the epic history of the houseplant that pairs each era with DIY planting projects for the armchair horticulturalist to cultivate at home.

Williams’s first book, “Killer Plants: Growing and Caring for Flytraps, Pitcher Plants and Other Deadly Flora,” was published by Running Press in September ’20.
